Who doesn't love a knit a long....well I sure do!!!! So come join me in knitting a beautiful sweater over on my friend <a href="http://www.celticcaston.com/">Kelly's blog</a>. She is hosting a lovely KAL, which has really grown. I'm so excited to see everyones sweaters. Here is the start of my sweater. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLM-NKk177s2xNQB_Oq_IL-fTrtpI2r0cMuFmSowfBsVx9dC0qPwo1l4836Zkx9PvSsfC6jOsM7hbnprJ-UcV_CU67zbq5pGoBda0DXRXs3bcMVZTIzPz5tZMUWcGNsBgm_6PVjk7Qhr8/s1600/IMG_9210.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLM-NKk177s2xNQB_Oq_IL-fTrtpI2r0cMuFmSowfBsVx9dC0qPwo1l4836Zkx9PvSsfC6jOsM7hbnprJ-UcV_CU67zbq5pGoBda0DXRXs3bcMVZTIzPz5tZMUWcGNsBgm_6PVjk7Qhr8/s320/IMG_9210.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have chosen to knit this in the yarn that the pattern calls for, which is usually not the case for me, I typically change it up somehow. Well the only change that I made was to the color.....and it seems a little dark. I know the pic is hard to tell because it was taken indoors....with a flash....but I'm a little scared right now. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a little more knitting done and a picture in during daylight.....fingers crossed because I already caked my yarn....eek!!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Unfortunately I didn't get in as much knitting time tonight as I would have liked to, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
but I did get a good walk in with a friend....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Here is my second sweater for the Summer KAL over at <a href="http://www.luvinthemommyhood.com/">www.luvinthemommyhood.com</a> blog. This summer blog has given me soooooooo much inspiration....My list of must knits has skyrocketed!!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a C-mas sweater for my little cousin. I was hoping to knit it from stash, but I'm starting to get low on the pink. (I should have knit the green stripes wider and used less pink....but I am not about to rip it back now)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1l247h_R5dc2F_KHgBGPNUqppoP1fucJ_JMux3b-TIx-Qi7QPaliTuQXGeEDD_FAa3hq5PXYjDmjYNYcGZ2QWU8rR21QTo6VXOyJ8KnIQ15vQSjjTFKRnC_B89ATj3JOgBVgs51gEpM4/s1600/IMG_9162.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1l247h_R5dc2F_KHgBGPNUqppoP1fucJ_JMux3b-TIx-Qi7QPaliTuQXGeEDD_FAa3hq5PXYjDmjYNYcGZ2QWU8rR21QTo6VXOyJ8KnIQ15vQSjjTFKRnC_B89ATj3JOgBVgs51gEpM4/s320/IMG_9162.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have approximately two balls that are 16oz each...I hope I can stretch it out so that I don't have to buy a second ball....I would need very little. Wish me luck!!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stop over and check out the sweaters in this KAL, you won't be disappointed!!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
This weekend I went on a little day roadtrip with some knitty friends and picked up some new fabric!!! I am so in love with it, and can't wait to make up some bags.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also have some plans for some lined drawstring bags too.......My mind is racing</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Started a second sweater for the summer KAL over at <a href="http://www.luvinthemommyhood.com/">www.luvinthemommyhood.com</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am using a great top down sweater pattern from <a href="http://www.janerichmond.com/">Jane Richmond</a>, the same pattern I made my son a sweater from last winter. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am totally crazy over the colors.....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/mickerr/117221130/uploadedImage_medium2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/mickerr/117221130/uploadedImage_medium2.png" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My yarn choice is <a href="http://berroco.com/">Berrocco Vintage</a>....hands down the bestest yarn with acrylic in it!!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
yes I am a yarn snob, but this stuff is irresistible!!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I have had some requests for a larger bag, so I gave it a try tonight. This one is about the size of a mens shaving kit. Learned a couple lessons with this prototype...which is always good!!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Stayed tuned for a look at some special order small box bags, the new owners get to be the first to see them, but I promise to share later on this week once they are delivered.</div>

Today we attempted dyeing yarn with Kool Aid, and I must say, it was so easy!!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
We had two sock blanks, and we each dyed one for a pair of socks for the other person. This is the one that my little guy made for my socks. They have a heart, a sunshine, and grass. He tried to write mom, but only got the "MO"....so he changed it to "MA" and I just have to read it twice for "mama"</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love how he calls me mama....some nasty little girl at school who likes to say mean things to him told him that he was a baby for calling me that......she is not very nice!!!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
My socks for him will have a hidden message in them also, I always sing "you are my sunshine" to him, so I used an abbreviated version of the song. However leaving out "me" in "you make me happy" was an error. woops. And I always call him my baby boy. The top is hard to read, but it is his name.</div>

I love having pretty project bags for my knitting.....when I use pretty things to knit such as bags and stitch markers, it makes me happy....so I knit more!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is a little project I worked on today for my sock projects. And I LOVE IT!!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The fabric is Amy Butler....and found the pattern for free on the web. Gotta love free!!!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVxUWMe7cxxM26oNAgDgiZNo-lTEZvffBijaE72tf4vUdfnJ5YuUfMUrsmBzYTqZHeTnGSEdIN4_INQ7bUlTu2YMpKmImXtpcQGwlWrgXUxryEYwkhVcFpeeOx2qiuTPgkMiND3Hp7db0/s1600/IMG_9118.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVxUWMe7cxxM26oNAgDgiZNo-lTEZvffBijaE72tf4vUdfnJ5YuUfMUrsmBzYTqZHeTnGSEdIN4_INQ7bUlTu2YMpKmImXtpcQGwlWrgXUxryEYwkhVcFpeeOx2qiuTPgkMiND3Hp7db0/s320/IMG_9118.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Isn't it the cutest....and I love the different fabric lining....so fun!!!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtEqDOCMNqztCzL23K4TU_SrXfyFls8u1pEVZXE8LmnavuFXWyT9byfC6aOVh3NiS3RVx7xee9F2E3NtfMy3EQW9zUXuCaITKELRHfxl8GzR3Z-PtCsJttX-roAB9v0G6vPW8-VegRWwQ/s1600/IMG_9119.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtEqDOCMNqztCzL23K4TU_SrXfyFls8u1pEVZXE8LmnavuFXWyT9byfC6aOVh3NiS3RVx7xee9F2E3NtfMy3EQW9zUXuCaITKELRHfxl8GzR3Z-PtCsJttX-roAB9v0G6vPW8-VegRWwQ/s320/IMG_9119.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm going to look and see what fabric I am going to use to make the next one.....hehehe</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(and if someone stumbles up on this and sews....remember this is the first time I have ever attempted something like this so please be kind)</div>Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07729259973565388654noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3391643682338452.post-72572370231373543722012-08-01T18:47:00.002-04:002012-08-01T18:47:42.274-04:00One sweater down.....<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is my first sweater for the summer sweater KAL at <a href="http://www.luvinthemommyhood.com/">www.luvinthemommyhood.com</a> blog.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvMLfJQGYfYswI_I_JtbJLofzyj1KSgFaK0JUlz2rPEEGXhOW3l-onUDICYEI__zSnHqcp0gkEFoiZbWfaKxhYT-lHVSXn1F7FMnBPqZqc1X0mhmlH7dBR5j6ZsB_k01QBYrVdTlJmfVY/s1600/IMG_9107.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvMLfJQGYfYswI_I_JtbJLofzyj1KSgFaK0JUlz2rPEEGXhOW3l-onUDICYEI__zSnHqcp0gkEFoiZbWfaKxhYT-lHVSXn1F7FMnBPqZqc1X0mhmlH7dBR5j6ZsB_k01QBYrVdTlJmfVY/s320/IMG_9107.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Gnarled Oak Cardigan from the Coastal Knits book was such an enjoyable knit. I used Madeline Tosh DK in the colorway "Byzantine"....and couldn't be happier. This sweater blocked beautifully too!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6n-H2IDO8KvUvomBcbWehv7KX7MxYRH5M5NkiE0wWufRTEF1rR2Z_qhQUUGPPq-T0w2smwtsGtUYMtIDEjoUv21xKDWQr7NLHuslvWD2XyFwEd_9FPaH9sqcVIp9RMGT-hOMlNQh3Wm4/s1600/IMG_9105.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6n-H2IDO8KvUvomBcbWehv7KX7MxYRH5M5NkiE0wWufRTEF1rR2Z_qhQUUGPPq-T0w2smwtsGtUYMtIDEjoUv21xKDWQr7NLHuslvWD2XyFwEd_9FPaH9sqcVIp9RMGT-hOMlNQh3Wm4/s320/IMG_9105.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
When I started the sweater I was affraid of running out of yarn, so I had planned to make it short sleeves if I ran short. In the end I still had over a skein of yarn left and could have made them longer, but felt that adding a little pleat and sticking with the short sleeves would work better for me. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii5qAajAVCVskQN21_QglQUpN14d3vsLLjAvtxbJwNVWk8n8qZ657ZDJqLUv8mwjwHjmzovgZbxn8BagAjHv_Lqs6qX57Qw6wJdGWqQbmGLFa-pzc3N2Mp02YaOmylXM6RM4mcYO9IQig/s1600/IMG_9106.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii5qAajAVCVskQN21_QglQUpN14d3vsLLjAvtxbJwNVWk8n8qZ657ZDJqLUv8mwjwHjmzovgZbxn8BagAjHv_Lqs6qX57Qw6wJdGWqQbmGLFa-pzc3N2Mp02YaOmylXM6RM4mcYO9IQig/s320/IMG_9106.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The detail in the yoke just makes this sweater!!!! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJkmobmuMghCS6FPg4Oasbz9k-ybG6zkpE7vWHdpVfcjoDJBg7VlacBWYwJX3_ts0JdioBxc8bUTAO1mBm6vBDxhtwtXND2_b_GcRGTxmSiIdBlcKIabmVt6BVfSz4sSkWyh5k7nQfxCU/s1600/IMG_9115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJkmobmuMghCS6FPg4Oasbz9k-ybG6zkpE7vWHdpVfcjoDJBg7VlacBWYwJX3_ts0JdioBxc8bUTAO1mBm6vBDxhtwtXND2_b_GcRGTxmSiIdBlcKIabmVt6BVfSz4sSkWyh5k7nQfxCU/s320/IMG_9115.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
It hasn't been sweater weather here lately, but sweater season is fast approaching.....and this will be my go to sweater for sure!!!!!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My neck sweater that is about to come off the needles is also from the Coastal Knits, more on that to come. Oh, and life has gotten hectic around here....but I haven't forgotten about the Ravellenic projects I promised to share. </div>Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07729259973565388654noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3391643682338452.post-87613227853778153492012-07-29T14:45:00.002-04:002012-07-29T14:45:56.343-04:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My first project was the Owlie Sleep Sac.</div>

<a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/mickerr/113652623/uploadedImage_medium2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/mickerr/113652623/uploadedImage_medium2.png" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm not a fan of Owls, they creep me out a little...but my sister does and she is expecting.....so....I thought this would be a nice little surprise for her and baby ??</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The original pattern called for the sleep sac to be 12" before the decrease, but I took it to 16" at the suggestions of a friend. Actually she suggested 17-18' but I was afraid of running out of yarn and wanted to medal in the single skein. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This project in total qualified for three medals</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
single skein, cables, and baby dressage!!!! WOOHOO</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
More to come on my late night 4th medal.....</div>Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07729259973565388654noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3391643682338452.post-32377996396178880182012-07-24T18:01:00.000-04:002012-07-24T18:07:50.407-04:00Nearing the end.....<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The end is near on my Gnarled Oak cardigan that I have been working on for the <a href="http://www.luvinthemommyhood.com/">luvin the mommy hood</a> sweater Knit-A-Long.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

After many failed attempts at the button bands, I think I finally got them. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The details on the collar are hard to capture with a flash, but in all this fog I didn't have much choice.....but I am not complaining about the weather. Last week I was on vacation and the weather was AMAZING!!!!! So when Mr. Sun peaks his little rays out for a hello I'll try and get some more detailed shots.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And tonight I picked up the stitches on the provisional cast on I did for the sleeves, and will complete them before the week is out. I'm right on track for having this sweater completed before the Ravellenics. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What are the Ravellenics? Well they are a little competition we are having amongst knitters on Ravelry to celebrate the Olympics. We each compete in different events and earn medals. I have a few things planned.....more to come on that!!! Friday we cast on during the opening ceremonies at 5pm local time!!</div>

<a href="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p330/shannonandjeremy/mallory-misc-039buttonworkingb175.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p330/shannonandjeremy/mallory-misc-039buttonworkingb175.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The summer KAL is well under way over at <a href="http://wwwluvinthemommyhood.com/">luvinthemommyhood</a> blog. My pattern initially called for knitting the body, then the sleeves. But since I am short on yarn and not exactly sure how I want to do the sleeves so I did a provisional cast on. And I am so glad that I did, because my next step is to begin the lovely detail!!! How exciting.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGUmet8fXXfRTbrj6JDikvvJUR-lw3GMud9DReWAYrpd0KdKNl1JuR4P_XX2UhBFb7HtEsMK94bhrmoB6mju2327XNzdbqsy6PpMsfnmpLuV0pwJqKLJgQfrg7zs8Sh1TldhWXyngzByQ/s1600/IMG_9073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGUmet8fXXfRTbrj6JDikvvJUR-lw3GMud9DReWAYrpd0KdKNl1JuR4P_XX2UhBFb7HtEsMK94bhrmoB6mju2327XNzdbqsy6PpMsfnmpLuV0pwJqKLJgQfrg7zs8Sh1TldhWXyngzByQ/s320/IMG_9073.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I never knew a sweater could come together so quickly, but I'm guessing that beautiful yarn and a great pattern is the recipe for a quick knit. All in all I am really excited to wear this.....I'm even contemplating on holding off starting the Shawl Mystery KAL just so I can get it done.....But we'll see....once the first clue comes out I'm probably gonna cave and start that too. haha</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But my question to you.......</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
should I knit the sleeves short with a little pleat.....or maybe a tear drop and a little button??</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
what are you thoughts??</div>Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07729259973565388654noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3391643682338452.post-31000869335969491792012-07-04T17:53:00.000-04:002012-07-04T17:57:46.729-04:00Summer KAL update (week 1)My <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/projects/mickerr/gnarled-oak-cardigan">Gnarled Oak Cardigan</a> didn't get off to such a great start. I was almost through the first ball of yarn, when I came to the realization that it was HUGE! so after a phone call and some thread posts I frogged it back......5" of work...gone.<br />
<br />
But I am so glad that I did!!!! I went down a needle size and a sweater size (what woman doesn't love that??) and now the sweater is shaping up lovely. Plus it is a much tighter knit which makes happy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
I am just a few rows from my second decrease....and the end of my second ball.....little afraid of running out of yarn....I'm going to have to stick with the plan of short sleeves.<br />
<br />
Make sure and check out the sweater KAL over at the <a href="http://www.lovinthemommyhood.com/">www.lovinthemommyhood.com</a> blog, the sweaters people of knitting are all making their way onto my "to do" list. <br />
<br />
Have a great night and happy knitting!!!!Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07729259973565388654noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3391643682338452.post-11696732033119593312012-06-30T13:31:00.001-04:002012-07-02T11:34:05.211-04:00Cast onFinally got to cast on for my cardigan for the <a href="http://www.luvinthemommyhood.com/">www.luvinthemommyhood.com</a> KAL this summer. And i must say,the yarn was nice in the skein, beautiful once balled up.... And absolutely georgeous knit up!!!!<br />
<br />
Today at the beach I got a great shot of the colors.....why do I take photos inside at all? outside just showcases the yarn so much better!!!!!<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've got big big plans brewing for summer knitting. Yesterday someone posted on Ravelry asking what we were going to be working on during the summer. My answer was "Ravellenic's" projects. Over on Ravelry we are doing projects during the olympics....as of today though, things have changed. I was reminded of a shawl KAL I am participating in (more to come on that) and then I stumbled up this sweater KAL though a friend of mines blog <a href="http://www.celticcaston.com/">Celtic Cast On</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So now I have a lot going on. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Wanna see what I choose to work on.....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gnarled-oak-cardigan">Gnarled Oak Cardigan</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll be using a yummy yarn by <a href="http://madelinetosh.com/">Madeline Tosh</a>....not sure if I will have enough yarn in my stash....but my plan is to make the sleeves last....fingers crossed!!!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"<br />
<br />
My day was wonderful!! My little guy came home from his father's and made me breakfast. It was so cute...the best toast and honey I've ever had.<br />
<br />
Next my mom and I took Hunter up to my Grandmother's grave. It's always so hard and sad to go up, but spring flowers was always her Mother's day present....so I know she loved it. I love you and miss you Nan. (when Hunter knelt down and was talking to her and showing her his tooth he lost....well I almost lost it, especially when he asked if I thought she would be proud of him....how could she not???)<br />
<br />
And what's mother's day without a knitted piece? I made my mother a shawl, the pattern is from a young girl in England that designs patterns "<a href="http://www.jolihouse.com/">Lily Kate</a>"....I think she is 14.....her pieces are amazing...I want to make more for sure. Go check out her website!!!! HURRY, you won't regret it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/mickerr/102385476/document_upload11812-0_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/mickerr/102385476/document_upload11812-0_medium2.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The yarn is from <a href="http://madelinetosh.com/">Madeline Tosh,</a> which is my all time fav!!!! And mom really liked it.....I hope she will get a lot of wear out of it.<br />
<br />
The day was finished off with a lovely BBq steak dinner, with corn and potato salad....and the strawberry shortcake filled up the tank. I'm stuffed!!!!<br />
<br />
